Guest
Hey, Is it possible to convert my automatic RX 300 to manual?
Benjamin Tang
i am going to hazard a guess and say no... i'm not aware of any toyota product that has a manual transmission option with that V6, both here and overseas, in either 2WD or 4WD. denslexusgx470
Try checking Japan's 1st Gen Toyota Harrier (or known here in the U.S. as RX300) as they MIGHT have a manual tranny. As for websites for that, I have no clue! :(
Grumpa72
Well, not trying to be a smart a$$ but ANYTHING is possible if you have deep pockets. Now, if you ask if it is practical and affordable, I would suggest going back to my first remark. I would venture a W.A.G. that this is conversion, if you could find parts, would be north of $5-10000. As an example, in the classic Corvette world (I own a 72 and owned a 66) a lot of folks do this when they want to switch from an auto to a 4 speed. The Corvette always had an option for either a manual or auto, except for 1982, so all of the pieces are available and the procedures are widely known. This Corvette coversion can be done for around $4000. I doubt that you can even come close to this in a Lexus, even if you used Toyota branded parts.
