Monte Carlo Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 Hello everyone. I am not satisfied with the quality of the speakers in my new 2007 RX350. Does anyone have any suggestions for upgrades? Furthermore, I live in the Fresno, CA area. Can anyone recommend a decent installer? I am willing to travel. Thanks!

whiteblazer01 Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 I am in Orange County on occasion. Do you have a recommendation for new tweeters? Pioneer and Alpine have always been a favorite of mine as far as clarity and performance. Your RX 350 has 6½" component speakers, and I would recommend replacing them with the same type of speaker. Component speakers give a much more dynamic sound, as well as sound staging. Here are a few suggestions for 6½" Component speaker replacements. Option 1: Pioneer has a new line of speakers out called their PRS line. It is their highest line speakers which sound very good. I recommend replacing with Pioneers PRS Series 6¾" Component Speakers. The model number is TS-C720PRS. Here is a link to Pioneer's product page. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/v3/p...1263623,00.html I would recommend amplifying these speakers with Pioneer's 4 channel amplifier - Model Number GM-6200F. Here is a link to Pioneer's product page. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/v3/p...etailsComponent Option 2: Alpine has a set of similar 6½" Component Speakers which also sound phenomenal. The model number is SPR-17LS. They are Alpine's Type-R speaker (top of 3 lines - with the exception of their Type-X line - which is for custom staged vehicles and show cars at $3,500 per pair http://www.alpine-usa.com/en/products/prod...g=en&tab=F) Here is a link to Alpine's Type-R Component Speakers product page. http://www.alpine-usa.com/en/products/prod...?model=SPR-17LS I would suggest amplifying these speakers with this Alpine amp. Model number MRP-F450. Here is a linke to Alpine's product page. http://www.alpine-usa.com/en/products/prod...ng=en&tab=F If you want to follow this setup with a subwoofer to complete the system, I can recommend a few options. You probably don't want to be setting off car alarms with your stereo :D , but I can recommend something nice to give that extra emphasis with your music (nothing that will overwhelm your speakers). I will PM you with pricing information, or you can PM me or e-mail me at MobileVideoSpecialists@cox.net. -Paul
