MauiSC400 Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 Hi everyone im new to the board and it rocks to know there is a community for this wonderful car, I just have a question about installing a aftermarket radio. Im getting a aftermarket head unit but for the life of me i cant find a mounting bracket online for a 92 sc400, where can i get one?? BTW no audio shops around here have them.
lexus082 Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 Nobody makes a installation/mounting kit for the SC models. A majority of people have it custom installed at a car stereo shop. Or they custom install themselves. Most of the time a shop will make it look better and have different choices of material used for the install to make it look really nice.
whiteblazer01 Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 Aloha! You don't need a mounting bracket. Just use the factory mounting bracket. If you need a trim panel, most all local shops can make a decent one out of ABS. If you are using a single din unit, and need a filler below, you can get a universal pocket (available at most all stereo shops).
