I Need A Nakamichi Speaker! Help!

All I want to do is replace the nakamichi speaker in the passenger door of

my '93 sc400 with one that works, but I cannot locate the damn thing anywhere.

The dealer wants $196.00 (!) for one speaker.

It's a 4 ohm, 20/40 watt,

OC85589A

One of these has to be around with so many people upgrading their systems.

CAN ANYBODY HELP? I'VE LOOKED EVERYWHERE!

did you check around at local jumk yards?and the internet?if not then i guess if you really want it then it will cost from the dealer or try a local stereo store that sells nakamichi stuff and see if they could order it cheaper for you.

Believe it or not, I am still looking....

I've called every junkyard in the tri-state area,

initiated three different internet countrywide searches,

checked installation stores,

as well as internet stores (like crutchfield),

and still nothing.

The closest I got was a pioneer speaker inNew Mexico.

Thank you for your interest, though, I've been waiting a while for

any response.

Never thought it would be this hard, what a challenge!!

lol..i beleave it.why not just put a pioneer or another speaker in there of the same quality>just a suggestion?

I would like to thank you all (especially Mr. xerox) For all the help over the past month.

After the second week, I couldn't handle it any more, and after hours of sound checks, I settled for a pair of alpine coaxials that are suitable. I even swapped out the speakers by removing the grilles (violently) and was able to place them back on with no signs of infiltration. I can't believe the damn thing is only five bucks! Now, do I buy it and replace/return, or just put this painful search behind me? what a decision.
