Sleepyk
I just used my brand spankin' new PC 7424 for the first time to apply a nice acryllic jacket (Menzerna) to my baby, and I'm reasonable pleased with the results (feels smoother than glass, and added a tiny bit more shine to an already shiny car). My question is, how do you know when to stop? More specifically, after you smear the sealant around, and then turn the polisher on and "move in up and down and side to side" motions, how do you know when to stop? When the sealant is almost completely clear? Before that? After that? Somewhere in between, or just based on experience? I get the feeling that the question may have no right answer because of all the different waxes and sealants out there, but i would appreciate any advice. SW03ES
Well, for a sealant all you need to do is apply it, let it cure as per the manufacturers reccomendation, and remove it. Really there's no need for the PC. For a polish or compound, you should work it with the PC until it nearly dissapears to ensure all the abrasives have diminished. I'll be moving on to the older car next, so I'll be doing more than just a sealant. Thank you for your advice.
