By-pass Es300 Amp, Is It Possible?

Recommended Posts

I posted a similar thread in the audio section, but the ES300 section would contain more people familiar with the ES300 system.

My 6x9s died and I think its b/c of the amp. I would like to by-pass the OEM amp(or take it out completely) and power the rest of the speakers using the OEM deck. Is it possible to run the wires from the OEM deck straight to an aftermarket amp?

Any help will be appreciated,

I actually attempted that with Line out converters but the wires are not speaker wires, thus the sound was very distorted. However they do make a harness that will connect an aftermarket radio to the factory Amp and speakers, losing the cd changer, but I addedan aftermarke amp and box also! You will have to basically lose the OEM.
