duscarter
Hi, I love this forum. My power steering is not working at all. The only leak I had before this problem was coming from the top of the resivor. It did make that high squeaking occasionally. After doing alot of research on this forum, I think I am going to clean the solinoid filter and completly flush the system. Does this sound like the right starting point? I have a 1992 SC400. duscarter
I cleaned the screen in the resivor, but I still seem to have air in the system. I left the top off and turned the wheel all the way back and forth about 20 times. My fluid is still bubbling. I don't see any major leaks, but I bet that the other screen is filthy. I hope someone gets back to me, because I plan on tackling the other screen on Tuesday.
AppleJack
(I didn't realize there was a screen in the reservoir? I was actually going to clean out the solenoid filter and drain all the fluid and refill with new)
duscarter
Only took 10 min. to clean the screen in the solenoid with the right tools. No more air in my power steering fluid, and the car drives perfect thanks to this forum.
