Does anyone know where I can get a Double din Dash kit for 1999 Lexus ES300 Coach. I have only been able to find single din w/ or w/out the pocket. I am attempting to put in stereo w/ a seperate flip out TV on top. I have tried to mod the pocket on the kit to use an additional din put it will not work. Any website or contact would help. Please let me know.

Hey big Mike, I'd like to know how you did it because i want to do the same thing........

Basically, I did not use the dash kit at all. The holes in the side of the din size flip out Monitor and Pioneer headunit both lined up with the holes in the Factory Bracket ( The Factory bracket holds the original radio and AC unit). In the bracket I have the AC unit in the original place at the bottom of the bracket and then the radio and the screen on top. The trim around the 2 units I fabricated out of partical board and a local stereo shop sell sheets of ABS plastic like the dash kits are made of. I cut the partical board to fit in the dash with 2 cut outs for both units. It was cut to fit snug against the bottom of dash vents/clock housing and at the bottom, on top of the AC unit. It must be cut precisely to ensure a snug and flush fit ( a snug fit is all that holds the face plate in, There was not a way to get to the back to secure the face plate without removing the whole dash). As for the plastic I cut it out the same as the particle board with a little over hang to close in the gaps and make the board not visible. I like my Headunits to be flush mounted and not sticking out with a trim ring.

It was a fairly easy process. I could not think of another way. It looks clean and I have received some compliments on the install ( especially from people that know there is not a double din for this year ES 300).

Take your time. I have a few imperfections in mine because I rushed and it was hot that day.

I really wish that a Dash kit would be made for this year vehicle.

Depending on the screen size and how it comes out the unit and the brackets it may cover your clock and partial portion of the vent.

My screen now is 5.5 and more box shaped. I have a 7 inch widescreen flip out that I will switch out when the Florida heat cools off some. It does not cover as much of the vent.

When I have time I will post some pixs of the dash install and the other equipment I have.

It is best to run everything from the unit while you have them out and not have to go back behind the dash again.
