Dominic Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 Hi, i just bought a 96 es300, beautiful car, alittle beat up inside which i can fix. Nowmy question is, i got only the spare key there is no button on it. I heard that people buying the master key w/ the button on ebay or elsewhere, i looked alittle and they all say that the master key codes should match, Can anyone tell me if this code is written somewhere else inside the car. Thank you so much Dominic

Dominic Posted March 23, 2006 Author Posted March 23, 2006 Well of course a key can be made with just a VIN. For about $200 at the dealer though... :whistles: My question was whether the code (FCC ID) is located anywhere else so that people like myself who do not have the master key (where this code supposed to be typed on) could go and buy one used remote for less and programme it to the car.
