rickatups Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 Hey guys ... got a newbe here ... just got my first Lexus, a 95 LS400. Apparently, the previous owner got a cassette tape stuck in the Nakamichi and in the process of trying to get the tape out of the unit, scratched the face of the unit up pretty good, as well as totaly lunching the little cassette door that covers the cassette opening. The radio section of the unit works great and it sounds like you would expect a Nak to sound. My question is ....... do you know a Nakamichi guru? I found one on the east coast ... they have every imanginable device for restoring a Nakamichi .. EXCEPT ... they do not do work on Nakamichi Automobile systems! So who does? I would like to take the unit out and just really go through it, you know? Clean it, oil it, calibrate it ... etc etc ....... really appreciate any advice you might have .... T H A N K S ! ! !
blake918 Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 Maybe try www.carstereohelp.com, but since it's a little scratched up, I'd probably try and find a replacement on ebay or from a junkyard.
