amedo Posted July 29, 2003 Posted July 29, 2003 SIR.....2003 ES 300. I DRIVE ABOUT 6000 TO 7000 MILES A YEAR. DEALER WANTS ME IN EVERY FIVE MONTHS FOR OIL CHANGE ECT. WHY NOT THE RECOMENDED SEVEN MONTH. MY DRIVING IS HALF SHORT TRIPS AND HALF EXTENDED HIGHWAY. ANY THOUGHTS...... AMEDO

SW03ES Posted July 29, 2003 Posted July 29, 2003 If you look in your owners manual you'll see two maintenance schedules, the normal interval, and the heavy use interval. The Lexus dealer always uses the heavy use schedule. No reason to go sooner than 7 months.
