92BlueLexEs300
I went to advanced auto to get replacement Coolant Temperature Sensor and good thing I brought my old one in with me cause the threading was completely different and there was no way the replacement piece would work. The diameter of the threading was much smaller but other then that it looked exactly the same as the one I took out. Anyone know where I can get the correct size replacement or am I just going to have to suck it up and go to the dealer and pay there price for a replacement. This is the Coolant Temperature Sensor going into block from the lower radiator hose. any help would be great, thanks
Toysrme
I think the problem is yall have the sensors mixed up. There is the cooling temp sensor on the lower radiator hose for the ECU, and there is another for the cooling fan ECU on the coolant "tree" where coolant exits the driver's side of the intake manifold. Go somewhere else.
92BlueLexEs300
It is a branch off of that "tree", but the thing is I check for one at autozone as well and it comes up with the same part. They look identical except the diameter is too small to thread into the housing that also holds in the Engine thermostat.
