I just had the timing belt replaced at a local toyota dealer. About 50 miles later, check engine light came on and lights wend dim and car stalled.

Now the dealer is saying the alternator is dead.

Does the alternator need to be removed for timing belt replacement? Could this have caused the problem.

Thanks,

Steve
