cave01 Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 My 2000 GS300 with little over 51,000 miles stopped accelerating the Check Engine Light, VSC OFF and VSC lights came on and stayed on. I had the car towed to the dealer and was told it needs a throttle body assembly which is about $1300.00 plus labor. I find this strange since the car doesn't even have 52,000 miles. Has anyone experienced any similar problem with the GS300 family.
GuyTelefunken Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 We could sure use more information. What part on the throttle body failed? On the GS300, many individual parts of the throttle body are servicable.

This is a known problem, the throttle is electronic and the servo and clutch assembly that converts from electronic to mechanical has been known to fail. <_<
