Telephone Dialing While Driving

I also own a 2006 GS300 AWD and that forum describes a method for bypassing the restriction on dialing phone numbers while driving by going in behind the NAV unit and clipping a wire or two (detailed specifics are in that forum). Those specifics also allow DVD viewing while driving, but that aspect is not important to me. I'm wondering if anyone has investigated this method for the RX-400h. I'm not the most technically capable person and am hoping someone else would blazethe trail...

Did you try the "light blue wire cutting trick".

If so, did it work, as I tried it on my car without success.
