ask4gino Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Roughly how long should it take a Lexus dealer to replace the battery in a 1996 GS300? Total labor charges for this job should be about how much?
Abear Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Why not just do it yourself? It not hard at all and if you pay the dealer what it cost for labor to change a battery..Just do it yourself, buy the battery and change it. Most people wont be able to tell you how much it cost anyway because alot of people can change a battery. I forget how much labor is, but if you want the dealer to do it, its prolly gonna be 150+ for the battery and probably another 50+ for labor and what not.

If your not capable of doing it yourself or dont want to take it to an Advanced auto or Autozone buy a GOOD battery and theyll change it for free.I used to work in service and was amazed at what people would pay for a oem batt. plus labor.
Shoemaker Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 buy a battery from sears ... they'll warranty it for 5 years and even 8 with the more expansive batteries ... and they'll change it for free ... the warranties are free. Shoe
