My factory alarm works but I must open the car from the passenger side. Bought the car from original owner by way of car lot and there was no opener key. Lexus charges $500 for new key. But if a remote key is all you need, I see them on ebay for less then $100 uncut ones, you would have to go to the dealer to recode it and cut it, but I am not sure how much they;d charge for that.
