Link
Hello everyone. I have a 92 LS400,when my car stops and I turn the steering(left&right),whatever I put the transmission on P,N or D,the idle goes a little bit higher, around 100-150rpm. It never happened before. Otherwise everything is fine. Any idea? Idler bearing problem? Thanks
KY350
Turning the steering wheel uses power and subsequently causes the revs to rise. I've never watched the tacho closely enough to see how much of an increase occurs, but 100rpm sounds normal to me. This should be happening all the time and I suspect that you may have never realised it previously. Everything sounds normal to me.
Shadow
LS has variable power assist steering feature. More assist at stationary and low speed by increasing idle speed and less assist at higher speed. What you observed make sense.
