id1
I have seen number of posts about front end clunking noise when an LS hits road joints at low speeds. I have had this problem on my 95 LS since I bought it 2.5yrs ago. Last week my mechanic changed both sway bar bushings (dealer part cost $27 for both) and I can't believe the change in ride. Now the car neither sways sideways nor drops the front end, with the dreadful noise, at low speeds. On inspection the mechanic said the bushings look ok, but, said everything else looked as it should be. We decided to change anyway and man, it made a world of difference. On a closer look at the old bushings we did not find any cracks. I presume they might have become soft over years. So my suggestion to any one who has similar problem - go change sway bar bushings if your struts and other stuff is not the issue.
