Nakamichi Radio Won't Work

I just purchased a 94 sc400 and the stereo stopped working. When powered on, the station defaults to AM900 and I can't change it. When depressing the FM or CD buttons, nothing happens. I can't even change the AM station. The only thinh that will play is the tape deck.

Can someone help?

hmm did you check all the fuses?maybe theres a seperate fuse for the cd and radio.i doubt it because you said it works with a tape but give it a shot.if not its probably burned out and in that case you will need a new one.check ebay and local junk yards for a new one.hope this helps

Thanks for the response. I've found out what the problem was. The FM button was stuck. A lot of goop was packed in between the buttons. I cleaned around the buttons with a straight pin to remove the junk and everything works great now. Who would've guessed.
