Hello Gents,

Yesterday I decided to fix my leaking valve cover gaskets on my 'beater' Lexicon.

Front one easy...back set required some perserverence.

Anyway I reassembled a few times....first time I pinched a vaccume hose and the car ran rough. Second time fixed the hose and found an unplugged electrical connection possibly the one to the trans? It was on the air cleaner side of the motor...anyway.

Now get this.

The oil leak is fixed I can run the heat and I do not get asphyxiated anymore.

The car while sitting in park warms up nicely and idles perfectly.

You can sit there in PARK and rev the motor up and down do whatever you want..take it to 3 or 4,000 rmps whatever.

Put her in DRIVE and all systems SEEM normal until the tack hits 2,200rpms or so.

Then it bogs down like it wants to konk out but stays alive enough for you to tool around at anything under 2,000.

Any ideas? Electrical...vaccum hoses wrong?

Thanks for any help.

Vic

Did anyone try the quiz? Just went out there this am...it was the electrical sensor on the air intake tube...mass air sensor maybe? Anyway she's back up and running great.

Yeee haw..just saved a bunch of money doing it myself...hard job though.
