sank Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 I was wondering if anyone has this problem. when ever I step on the brakes on somedays a whining noise can be heard coming from the instrument cluster panel direction. Does anyone have a clue what this might be?. Also when the car is in motion and later giving or stepping on the gas pedal and/when releasing the engine rocks to and fro. I replaced the dogbone mount strut and the front motor mount just recently . Could it be the rear motor mount? its really dicerning because there is always a backlash feel when giving gas and then letting go. I always thought it should be a smooth transition with no feel if any when giving and releasing the gas pedal.
Toysrme Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 Front motor mount, then rear. The earlier A/T's have a back-up speed sensor that is mechanical. That's the only thing that spins in the dash board minus the interior fan behind the glove box. I would skip that & check the brakes.
