Chrome Rims And Tire Size

I have a 99 GS400 and was considering putting 17inch Chrome wheels on it this summer but I keep putting it off. I was wondering how different the ride would be from the factory 16inch wheels currently on it and if anyone could really feel the difference and does it afffect the comfort and handling in your opinion. I am considering buying factory 17 inch chrome wheels that are available for the 20001 model GS. Will these rims fit the 99GS? Any thoughts or suggestions on rims for the GS model. Thanks in advance. 1. You will notice a ride quality change. The 16s ride is very cushy. Going to 17s reduces the sidewall and you will get a change in ride. Handling should improve with the 17s but that will also depend on tire selection.

2. Chrome wheels tend to be heavier than non-chromes so there will be a performance change too.

3. All OEM 98+ GS wheels are interchangeable.
