RGHessel Posted August 22, 2002 Posted August 22, 2002 This is probably the wrong place to post this message (since you are all probably happy IS300 owners), but I've been car shopping, looking at all the usual suspects (BMW, Infiniti, MB, Lexus, Audi...) as I prepare to get rid of my Lexus RX300 for something a bit more sporty... I've loved having a Lexus for all the obvious reasons....but I'm struggling with the Lexus sedan choices. The ES looks too much like a Camry and the GS is up for redesign in 2004. I like everything about the IS except...the tacky (in my opinion) Chronograph-style gauges. The dash looks quite plasticy to me. Is there any chance Lexus might redesign the dash of the IS? (The car mags certainly haven't been fond of the dash design...)
RSantos Posted August 22, 2003 Posted August 22, 2003 Yes I am a happy IS owner. I would disagree with you about the chronograph gauges being tacky. I do on the other hand would agree about the plasticy look of the dashboards if you will. But IS300 is the best yet sedan Lexus has ever manufactured. I agree about the ES300 looking like a Camry and the GS300 doesn't look attractive to me at all. IS300 is the only sedan they've ever had with a slick look. I love there SC's though. I hope they'll come up with a new joint that's slick and stylish....
