RookieLS
I have a 1995 LS400. I have a leaking Power Steering Pump and Pressure Hose. I also have a bad alternator. I've managed to get the pump, hose, alternator and a new serpentine belt but I would like to know what the standard number of labor hours for just installing these parts. The Dealer wants $500 just to install and that seems ridiculous to me. Also, is there anything else that needs to be changed related to the power steering while the installation work is being done? Thanks.

mehullica
I work for a Lexus dealer and $500.00 is about right. My dealer would run $575.00. I would ask then to clean out the screen on the rack and pinion with the install.
