Is the location of the SC300/SC400 rear nameplate different because of model, or year, or both?

Is the location of the SC300/SC400 rear nameplate different because of model, or year, or both?

Well, I never thought about it before, but it looks as if Lexus changed the placement of the SC300/SC400 badge in 1997. On the 1996 and before the SC300/SC400 badge is below the Lexus 'L' and between the tail lights. On the 1997 and after, the SC300/SC400 badge is directly across from the Lexus 'L' and above thr right tail light.
