High Mount Brake Light

I've been searching for instructions on replacing the high mount brake light on a 2002 ES300 and have so far been unsuccessful. Any input would be appreciated.

I tried to use the older model instructions but could not grasp the cover to pull it back. I did find a diagram of the assembly at a parts website but all it shows is 2 clips on the windshield end.

Thanks.

2002+ ES is alot easier than previous models.

1. kneel in the back seat facing out the back window

2. grasp the cover with a hand on each side and slide the whole cover to your left (to passenger side)

3. Now lift up on the cover and the entire bulb housing should be exposed.

4. Pull the bulb out. Replace with new one. Don't touch the new bulb with your fingers.

5. Replace cover and slide it to the right (driver's side).

Thanks steviej!

I actually was able to figure that out too. I used 2 screw drivers to gingerly pry the cover from the back corners and was able to pull out the cover after sliding it across. It was too easy! Thanks for the response.

How is the bulb replaced on a '95 ES300? Do I follow the same procedure?

Thanks
