Another Key For 1997 Lexus 450

Hi,

I recently purchased my 1997 Lexus 450 and it came with only 1 key.

Before going back to a Lexus dealer for big money can I buy a key somewhere else ??

Usually, you can find Lexus blanks on eBay. Some locksmiths carry them, but they're hit or miss.

The dealership is always an option, but they'll charge quite a bit for them.

I carry laser cut blanks, If all else fails contact us @ 8318993443 and we can sell you a blank for your car, I just duped one yesterday in fact and now looking for programming for the remote. We also do these as well. Your :) local locksmith will have to own a machine known as an SDD which stands for Silca Diagnostic Device and they run about 7000 dollars plus key blanks and remote fobs which are outrageous as well. So call around and good luck. =D

Small world -- I grew up in Marina and went to Seaside High.

What type of programming are you looking for? Is it for a LX 450 fob or a LX 470? If it's for a 450, I can point you to some insructions.
