imtheking Posted May 11, 2005 Share Posted May 11, 2005 98 gs300 when stopped at a red light etc..... i turn the steering wheel left and right, i can hear a squealing noise coming from the passenger side. you can only hear the squealing noise when the car is stopped (in park or stopped at a light etc) never when i accelerate or when car is moving 2-5mph any ideas? thanks dudes Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

imtheking Posted May 13, 2005 Author Share Posted May 13, 2005 it was the upper control arm.....i knew about it but why was the noise coming from behind the tire...i think it was something small like a loose belt, power steering etc.. but the mechanic decided to make some money off me by saying it was the upper control arm....it was rusted and the rubber piece was ripped... dunno, but it cost me $300 including labor (used part) new upper control arm from lexus wold have cost me $475 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
