srd
The power steering pump has started to scream and the fluid level is fine. I had it looked at by a local mechanic and he feels that it needs to be replaced. He's been trustworthy in the past. His quote is $400 to replace with a rebuild. I have seen rebuilds online for less than $200 with an exchange. How complex would this be to do it myself? Are any special tools required? I have moderate skills but am by no means a mechanic. Thanks, SRD
TurboGS300
It's not a big deal to do, there's even a write up in tech tutorials on how to rebuild the pump. Look it over and see if you can handle it. <_<
