Radio Lcd Showing Weird Stuff....

i just got a new flex cable for the radio coz i broke it accidently, so now its installed right and everything is fine. but the lcd is showing some weird stuff and is not readable anymore.

i just realized that when i installed the faceplate, the car was on and i didnt pull the power cord off. so my question here is....is the LCD burned? and how do i fix it?? will a simple re-install work? (like take off everything, then install with power cord off)
