lexmelt Posted May 5, 2005 Posted May 5, 2005 I had a friend of mine do the brakes on my 2001 RX300, he replaced rotors and brake pads with new ones. The problem now is that when you break there is horrible pulsation and some sort of a thumping noise, especially when you brake from about 50 mph on up. I would really appreciate some opinions of this issues. I have a friend that said it had somthing to do with the ABS system and some type of a reset.
RX in NC Posted May 5, 2005 Posted May 5, 2005 It could be an ABS error, it could be a reset required, it could be improper pad installation, but your first step is to determine if you have air in your brake lines. If they weren't properly bled, you probably do. Talk with your friend to find out if he followed the proper bleeding procedures. If he's not sure, you need to get to a decent brake shop pronto....
