twinsdad Posted April 2, 2005 Posted April 2, 2005 I'm a new member and 1st time Lexus owner. I picked up my 2005 ES 330 2 weeks ago. Since the ride home I've had a rattle in the dash, middle/right. Any suggestions as to what might be causing this? Also, I had the dealer apply the "Environmental Protection" package (I'm in CT) and was told not to wax the car for 5 years as that is how long this guarentee is. Sounds strange to me but would appreciate any feedback! Thanks

SW03ES Posted April 2, 2005 Posted April 2, 2005 The dealer protection system is a scam, wish you'd asked us about it first. All they do is apply a low grady polymer sealant, it'll be gone in 6 months at the very maximum. You could have gotten better protection yourself with a bottle of Klasse or Zaino.

I should have known better than to listen to the dealer. I ordered a bottle of Klasse to try. From what I've been reading, that sould do the trick! ;)
SW03ES Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 Yeah, if Lexus didn't put it on the car, it doesn't need it ;)
