How To Clean Black Interior, Leather, Rubbery Dash

Recommended Posts

First of all switch from 100% cotton to Microfiber. That will end your linting problems.

My ES has a black interior, and the cleaner I like to use is Griots Interior Cleaner (www.griotsgarage.com). Its a nice mild cleaner (you can even use it on leather, although I don't). Leaves the dash material with the matte look its supposed to have from the factory. You can use this on the buttons too.

As for the dust, I use this: (http://www.properautocare.com/dashduster.html) its treated with an agent that will keep dust from coming back and it does a great job. You can carry it in the glove box.

For the wood I use this: (http://www.properautocare.com/plexus.html)

The wood is topped with a plastic coating to protect it. This will shine it up and it will resist fingerprints with successive uses. Also works well on the instrument cluster lens and the nav screen.

That should set you up!

Get some good MF towels while you're at it.
