How Do I Connect An Amp To The Factory Stereo?

Recommended Posts

You'll have to do 2 amps or a 5 channel amp. You may just be able to solder RCA's on to the signal input wires and plug them into the new amps have to check the voltages to see if they're compatible with the amps you buy. Other wise use a line out converter, problem with using factory deck is any distortion will be amplified. Hook up outputs to amp or amps and crank it up. B)

hey what's going on. i've done this on another fellow lexus forum member's GS300. it wasn't that hard at all. you just need an amp that has the i believe they are called digital outputs. then you're going to have to tap into existing speaker wires for a signal so the amp can pick up and distribute to what ever you want to use it for. in my case, i hooked up the amp to the stock subwoofer. there are pictures of my work on the gallery section.

There's no such thing <_< Amplifiers have only analog output.

 So..... splice into the amp speaker wires and run those to the new amp? I assume I then run a power wire to the battery? Anyone else?
