Matthew_McNally Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 I ordered a set of the Prolex-UK eyelids for the Lexus GS a while back. They arrived a few days ago, fitted them the day before yesterday, and managed to get some pics today. The eyelids themselves arrived well wrapped and protected. They were individually wrapped in bubble wrap to protect the paint, and the box was liberally stuffed with newpaper to protect them in transit. I ordered them prepainted, which was very well done. They also came pre-taped, which was a real plus, as I had trouble finding double sided tape for the ones on my IS. Fitting was real easy - I simply - offer up the pieces a few times to get the feel of how to place them, - cleaned the headlight glass thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol, and then wiped clean - unpeeled the tape and put in place. - held in place for a minute to let them "set" a bit (which probably wasn;t necessary - the tape is very sticky). - covered them in ultra low tack masking tape overnight. all in - 15 minutes - really easy job. Some pics of them on the car. Front view Driver side Passenger side I am pretty happy with them. I know they won't be to everyone's liking, but I think that its a very nice, subtle styling mod. Makes the headlights look less like MB lights - and I like to think makes the front end a little "meaner" :D overall very pleased with them - would love to hear what you guys think :D

SON OF SAM Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 what grill is that? Stock 430 grill? Thanks!
Matthew_McNally Posted February 17, 2005 Author Posted February 17, 2005 what grill is that? Stock 430 grill? Thanks! ← Its a TTE grill and front spoiler. These are fitted by Lexus UK as standard when you order the "sports" model, along with 18", 18 spoke wheels and a rear spoiler with LED brake lights.
Matthew_McNally Posted February 17, 2005 Author Posted February 17, 2005 A more generic shot of the car think they are nice and subtle
mitymouse Posted February 19, 2005 Posted February 19, 2005 Droopy eyelids give the car a hangover -what were you thinking! Just kidding -nice touch. I'd do a eweie to chase you down for a better look. Thanks for the generic shot. Is your GS lowered? Lemme know as I am considering 18's with the goal of looking something like your ride. You've got a great car there.

I'm not a fan of the "slammed to floor" look - so a nice inch or so drop, off a set of TTE springs would do me (my car is already on 18's :) ) thanks for the compliment
Matthew_McNally Posted February 20, 2005 Author Posted February 20, 2005 Lemme know as I am considering 18's with the goal of looking something like your ride. ← mitymouse I am actively looking into suspension mods now ;) I have just had a photoshop done - and I LOVE the effect ( ). Take a look at this thread - thats what I'm hoping for next ;)
