i am going to Big Bear, CA to snowboard and i was wondering if i can use the snow mode to drive up there without using tire chains... is that safe??

What are the exact name of your current tires you want to do this with?

Check you owners manual for specific info about tire chains as well. Considering your Lexus is RWD, failing the chains, you might want to take either a different car OR install winter rubber & put a decent amount of weight in the trunk to assist traction. B)
