wagsy22
I have the opportunity to purchase either a 2001 LX470 with 40K miles (without trailer pkg or Mark Levinson) or a 2001 LX470 with 47K miles with a third party warranty. The difference in price is $1K. For some reason, I am concerned about the miles for both - should I be? What other items should I be aware of on a vehicle with this amount of mileage like maintenance, etc. on both vehicles? Thanks, Wagsy22

eleypon
7K is not a big difference in mileage. If your concern about reliability, It is a reliable vehicle. Check the maintenance records for both vehicles. They are too close to compare by mileage. Find the one that has the options you are looking for. You will not notice the difference in mileage when you drive it but you will notice the missing sound system. The warranty is a good security blanket. Good luck
Leroy
I would go with features, paint chips and cosmetics, and maintence done records. I have 72k on a 2000 model. These vehicles do not seem to age. Still feels the same as when it was new. Just a few chips of paint and minor cosmetic things.
