I'm stumped

I recently purchased a 2013 RX450h and I have now downloaded the service records on the car.  There is a record from the selling dealer showing a dealer-installed remote start device and glass breakage detector when new.  Maybe someone can help me with two mysteries.  First, since there is no remote start button on the fobs that came with the car, how does one actually use the remote start feature?  Second, is one or both of those features connected to these antennae at the top of the windshield?

The item at the center of the windshield appears to be a rain sensor for automatic wiper activation. The antenna at the right corner is reminiscent of glass breakage sensors I've seen before.
