My 2002 Lexus ES300 seems to tune to a radio station and change the cd's but no sound comes from the speakers. One message says something like dvd out of date or corrupt. How do I get my radio to play?

If you have the Mark Levison sound system, yes it might be part of the GPS system (the right front speaker will not work if the unit is not functioning) or one of the two other amps in the car. 1 in the passenger front floorboard and the other in the trunk.

It is a needlessly complex sound system.

I have a complete and functional ML system pulled from mine if you want to buy it. $1200 for a pristine head unit, GPS player, and both amps.

But you can also get a most updated one from ebay.

It's what I did before deciding to rip out the whole thing.

My Lexus is not a Mark Levison. My radio appears to have a busted screen. If I buy a up to date radio and have it installed would that solve my problem?
