Check Engine & Trac Light

Recommended Posts

Go to a local auto part store; get the code scan and report it here so we could help to figure it out. I had same problem with my SC400 (Code P0441), Evaporator error. Took me awhile to figure it out; it involve the gas cap, charcoal canister, and Vacuum switch, PVC etc... I start with the cheapest (gas cap gasket), did not fix the problem. Check the canister and vacuum switch; they both ok but it turned out to be the vacuum switch malfunction when get hot. Replaced the switch and the light have not come back after over 1k miles! It cost me less than $69 for parts; it could have cost me a lot if I took it to the dealer
