Swapping 2JZ VVT-i into a 92-97 SC 300

Hello all,

Has anyone here ever swapped a 2JZGE VVT-I motor into a 92-97 Lexus SC 300? 
I know the easiest thing to do would be to drop it into a 98-00 SC 300 as those came with VVT-i but unfortunately I am having a hard time finding a 98-00 SC 300 in good shape. 
 

I have access to a complete parts car -  a 1999 Lexus SC 300 so I should be able to swap in the engine harness, ECU, transmission from that car along with my built 2JZ-GE motor. The part that I’m concerned about is the immobilizer, as the 92-97 SC 300 has no immobilizer but the 99 SC 300 ECU requires an immobilizer to start the engine. 
 

Has anyone completed this swap successfully before?
