Delayed gear shifting

Recommended Posts

Just bought a 2009 ES 350 with 90k miles on it and decided to try it out in manual. I’ve  noticed that when shifting gears in either direction, it takes a second for the car to shift, say about a 3 second delay. My first thought was that there could be low transmission fluid, but I just got the car inspected a month ago and no problems.

Any tips?  Thanks!

I don't know about your inspection station, but to check the fluid level is kind of involved. I think that the car must be up on all fours and level. engine running and at a specific trans fluid temperature. ' hope they did all this.

I’ll have to call my mechanic today and ask him. Thank you!
