es250orwhat
My wife has her heart set on a new ES -250 as she really wants AWD. Probably a 2024 but could be a 2023. The engine is a 4 cylinder turbo. We both use regular gas for our present es-350's with no problems. My concern is whether we will be able to use regular gas for the turbo (which is a different animal) without too much degradation in performance (Motor Trend has already noted that in their opinion the 4 cylinder is undersized as it is). Thanks.
Frank DeLeon
The ES250 4-cylinder engine is not a turbo--regardless of the year. It is a naturally aspirated engine and is terribly underpowered. I should know, I owned one, a 2021, for two years before trading it in for a 6-cylinder 2023 ES 350. Chunk in a few extra dollars and buy an ES 350.
