lcoon
How do I replace the brake light bulb located in the rear door of a '99 RX300?
skalfov
Take your fingernails and pop off the trim package that runs the entire top of the window. It should just pop out. The upper brakelight assembly will either come off with the trim, or you'll have to take it out by itself. Simple light bulb replacement after that. Then just pop all of the trim back on and pound it in with your fist... It's a little spooky at first since it sounds like you're ripping out something that you wont be able to put back in. Just a note, make sure that the bulb is firmly seated before you put it back in. I had thought I had in tight, but it came loose again. The dashboard indicator light will not go off until you take the key out of the ignition, apparently the sensor has to reset itself. Took a sec to figure that one out too.
