quick93hb
I just bought an 1992 SC400Ok when turning the wheel at a stop noise comes, only when the car is cold though, when it warms up, no noise. Should I be worried? What precautions should I take? Also, what things would you change out (i.e. tune up) when buying a used sc400. should i just flush all my fluids? (trans, diff, PS, motor oil of course). sorry for all the questions but I have one last one. I'm looking for a little more performance, and I plan on taking out the 3rd cat. What else in the exhaust system can i do, besides taking out the other 2 cats and replacing the mufflers? what bout those to canister type things before each muffler? sc_toy
1) buy a BGB (big green book, a toyota service repair manual) if it's available, if not buy one of the generic ones. Haynes, chiltons, etc. 2) Sounds like you're low on PS fluid, possibly leaking, check www.planetsoarer.com for tips on rebuilding your pump 3) There are many threads on here already about exhaust, search the past threads and you should get your answers. Basically I see no need to change the rear mufflers, the stock 3rd cat is a restriction though so I think the best bang for the buck gain would be a new y pipe off the first two cats, mating up to the single pipe after the 3rd cat.
