lxs_hotboi Posted September 27, 2004 Share Posted September 27, 2004 :( on my gs430 i noticed today that the broken taillamp indicator light is on. i looked in the back and on the right side taillamp.. inner bulb is not lit up..so first thing that came to my mind was that i was gonna replace it.. but i looked at it from the outside without remobing anything that it looked intact.. hmmm..... so i told my dad to hit the brake light and the light that was broken went on?? whats up with this??? anybody know?? please Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The filament is broken and when you hit a bump, or just get lucky, it touches the support wire in the bulb and works. Take the bulb out and flick your finger against it a couple of times. GuyTelefunken Posted September 28, 2004 Share Posted September 28, 2004 Open the trunk lid, look at the edge of the taillight along the trunk opening. Remove two round screw caps with a small straight screwdriver. Remove two 10mm bolts. Pull taillight out from the side you just removed the bolts from. Turn appropriate socket counterclockwise (I think) and pull out to remove. Pull out bulb, replace. I don't think I forgot anything, should be pretty easy.
