1999 Gs300 Bulb Replacement Sizes

Recommended Posts

I am interested in replacing my low beams, high beams, DRL and Fog lamp bulbs. I wanted to confirm the sizes of the bulbs before I order them. For the Low Beam (large outside housing?): 9006, for the Hi-beam (inside, 50% for DRL? or is the DRL a wedge?): 9005, Fog lamps: 9006 (will a PIAA ion yellow bulb burn the fog lamp housing?), Inner tinted color: 194. I am set on ordering PIAA Super Plasma GTX bulbs from Japan for the low beams and maybe the high beams. Does anyone recommend anything for the 194 bulbs of for the fogs? I am open to suggestions, but I don't want anything that is going to attract too much attention (blue, purple, etc...). I want to spend about $300 total for all of the bulbs (the plasma GTX bulbs eat up about $200 of my budget and I know i can get the ion yellows for $75 and wedges are cheap). I am going to have the Lexus dealer install the bulbs during my next service, does anyone see this as being a major issue? It has a certified pre-owned warranty to 100k and i'm at 85k miles now. Will it only void the warrenty on the harness, or the whole electrical system or will it have no effect on the warranty at all?

Also, has anyone installed the chrome grill kits that they sell on Ebay for like $30? Do they look good/last long? Do they look "cheap" up close?

Thanks in advance, this is my first post to the forum. I read all posts about bulbs and this is the best information I could get. I had the Plasma GTXs in my old car and they looked awesome so i'm set on get'n them and i'll take pictures if anyone wants to see them after install.
