Hey fellas! Whats up? Love the site. I dont have a Lexus, but my best friend has an IS300. He has it turbo charged and has 420HP rear wheels at 17psi. (i think this is correct) My question is if there is any type of computer mods that will allow the car to accelerate faster than 140mph? From what he told me is that the computer has some type of safety factor that wont allow it to go any faster. Is there a way to bypass this? He also said that the 6speed doesnt have this problem. Is this legit info? Thanks for any type of information I can get. My personal favorite car is the Lexus SC300. But it would also have to be turbo charged. There is just something about turbos that makes a man's need for speed to be met. Take care.

What your speaking of ia called a speed limiter. Your friend woould need to have the main E.C.U. (engine control unit) reprogrammed to raised to a higher point. this funtion can not be completely removed but can be raised. Here is another problem. There are not many people that are doing IS E.C.U's. Your friend may want to look at a stand along computer. The would replace the factory E.C.U. with a unit that can be programmed via a lap top. If interested i can give more information, just drop me a P.M.
