Clanking Noise Fix! Brakes

Recommended Posts

sup folks, New lexus owner and new member to the site.

been reading a few posts about the braking noise some of you folks have been experiencing and i have a fix, well atleast it worked for me and perhapps will for you.

i bought my GS300 used and it just recently had dealer installed pads, the green ones. well, while applying the brakes during any sort of suspension travel or lateral force (going up a driveway or riding brakes on turns) i would get this clanking clicking noise coming from the front suspension. after completely tearing apart the braking system and suspension system I found nothing wrong with it and was actually amazed at the quality of all components giving the vehicle had 99K miles on it. I figured even though these are dealer pads they must be some sort of performance model given that no OE part would be green. So i decided to get a set of pads from the local parts dealer ( non OEM ). i slapped those badboys in after applying an anti squeal gel, the blue stuff, and the problem is COMPLETELY gone. the part which i purchased is as follows:

D2126M (front, gonna leave the rears alone) made by MK KASHIYAMA CORP. made in japan.

i strongly recommend these pads as the pads from the dealer will vary from your location, not sure why but parts in nebraska are different from parts in SO CAL. go figure

anyways, if you folks have this problem as i have, get these pads. if you can't find them in your area, try calling the parts store where i got mine, i am pretter sure they can ship it to you. (714) 554 2111 Bolsa Auto Parts.

good luck guys.
